One Big Thanks Conference

Virginia Tech will be hosting the 2019 One Big Thanks conference Oct. 4-6!
Registration will be open August 21, 2019 – September 13, 2019. Any university that registers after September 13 will not be guaranteed hotel accommodations.

How to Register – Organization:

3. Contact communications@vtbigevent.org with any questions/concerns

Registration Details:

• Registration includes food, transportation to campus, various swag (t-shirts, etc.), and hotel accommodations depending on the selected option. 
  • Flight expenses are not covered by The Big Event at Virginia Tech
• Hotel accommodations will be through the Holiday Inn Express in Christiansburg, VA
  • Address: 2725 Roanoke St, Christiansburg, VA 24073
• Please register accordingly for how many people you are sending and for which room situation they are comfortable with. 
  • For example: if you are sending 4 people and all are comfortable rooming together, select a 4 person room. If those 4 people require two separate rooms in order to be comfortable, please register for two 2 person rooms. 
  • Our goal is to provide everyone with a comfortable and safe place to stay during this year’s One Big Thanks Conference! If you are uncomfortable with any of the hotel or room accommodations, please email communications@vtbigevent.org.

Transportation Details:

• Flights should be booked to Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport
  • Address: 5202 Aviation Dr NW, Roanoke, VA 24012
  • Please send flight details to communications@vtbigevent.org as a member of our staff will be picking you up upon arrival. 
• Transportation from the hotel to the Virginia Tech campus will be provided by VT Big Event staff. 
•   If you prefer to drive your own vehicle to campus, please let us know at least two weeks in advance so we can secure the necessary parking permits for your visit.

  • Hotel room for 1 attendee 
• One Big Thanks- 2 per room $408
  • Registration for the 2019 One Big Thanks Conference
  • Hotel room for 2 attendees 
• One Big Thanks- 3 per room $478
  • Registration for the 2019 One Big Thanks Conference
  • Hotel room for 3 attendees 
• One Big Thanks- 4 per room $548
  • Registration for the 2019 One Big Thanks Conference
  • Hotel room for 4 attendees 
• One Big Thanks- individual without hotel $60
  • Registration for the 2019 One BIG Thanks Conference
  • No hotel accommodations (i.e. driving in locally)
  • Ex: if your university is sending 4 people driving in each day, register for this option 4 times.
